Welcome to Adams Palm Resort. By using our website, booking engines, or lodging at our resort in Thalaimannar, Sri Lanka, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Service. Please read these terms carefully before making a reservation.
1. Agreement to Terms
By making a reservation or utilizing resort amenities, you agree that you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts and that you accept all policies, including our Privacy Policy and Cancellation Policy.
2. Check-In & Check-Out Policies
- Check-In Time: From 2:00 PM onwards. Early check-in is subject to room availability and may incur additional fees.
- Check-Out Time: By 11:00 AM. Late check-out requests must be pre-approved by the Front Desk and are subject to room availability and late check-out fees.
- Identity Verification: Under Sri Lankan law, all guests must present valid government-issued identification at check-in. Local residents must provide a National Identity Card (NIC) or Driver's License; international visitors must present a valid Passport and entry Visa.
- Minimum Age: The primary guest registering a room reservation must be at least 18 years of age.
3. Payment, Pricing, & Taxation
- Dynamic Pricing: Resort room rates are dynamic and subject to seasonal adjustment, occupancy levels, and promotional rates. Confirmed booking rates are locked at the time of reservation.
- Resort Charges: Room rates are charged in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) or USD as indicated during booking.
- Taxes and Surcharges: All stays, dining, and activity reservations are subject to local governmental taxes, including Value Added Tax (VAT) and relevant tourism development levies, which will be clearly indicated during checkout.
- Guarantees and Security Deposits: A valid credit card or advance deposit is required to secure any room reservation. The resort reserves the right to pre-authorize credit cards or request a security deposit upon check-in to cover potential incidental damages.
4. Guest Responsibilities & Conduct
We strive to maintain a serene, family-friendly, and safe coastal environment. Guests are expected to:
- Respect the peace, quiet, and comfort of other resort guests. Excessively loud noise or disruptive behavior is prohibited.
- Care for the surrounding Thalaimannar coastal ecosystem. Please do not litter on the resort grounds, private beaches, or surrounding wildlife pathways.
- Abide by the resort's strict No Smoking policy inside all guest rooms, villas, and designated indoor common spaces.
- Accept full financial liability for any damage to resort property, fixtures, or landscaping caused by deliberate neglect, misconduct, or unauthorized actions.
5. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimers
- Personal Valuables: Guest rooms are equipped with secure in-room safes. Adams Palm Resort accepts no liability for the loss, theft, or damage of cash, jewelry, laptops, or other valuable personal items left unsecured.
- Coastal Activities: Water sports, swimming in the ocean, and outdoor activities carry inherent risks. Guests engage in these activities at their own risk, and the resort is not liable for accidents resulting from negligence or ignoring lifeguard warnings.
- Force Majeure: The resort is not liable for service failures or cancellation of stays due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, extreme weather, local power grid failures, civic unrest, or government restrictions).
6. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from these terms or your stay at Adams Palm Resort shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
